Player Jump Fling in Fling Things and People
Jump fling is how you send a player farther than a flat ground throw without a Pallet runway. You rotate the body, pull, and jump so your vertical speed stacks into the release.
The advanced version versus the friendly version
Wrath’s video is the quicker, harder motion. Mobile players, he says, should keep the slower “face the ground, then fly up” jump fling. PC players with clean binds can rotate specific body parts, pull, and jump in one beat. If the victim is already ragdolled from a previous grab, the stack is even louder.
A sequence you can rehearse
- Grab the player. Hit R and rotate so their back or a long axis faces your throw.
- Pull the tether in so you are coupled, not fishing.
- Jump. Release on the way up while looking where you want them to travel.
- If you are already airborne on a Pallet, do the same release at bounce apex.
Combine this with combo boost when you want height for yourself rather than distance for them. Combine it with far fling when the camera is already aimed at the ocean. Do not practice over the Poison Pit until you can also clutch out.
Frequently asked questions
Is jump fling just jump + throw?
The jump is required, but rotation and pull timing are the actual skill.
Why does Wrath mention body parts?
R6 ragdolls throw differently depending on what you latched. Hip and torso grabs are more stable than a spinning arm.
Does this work on Toys?
Yes on light Toys. Missiles and UFOs have their own physics. See weapons.
