Strictly useful

The static host may set a cookie or similar token to route traffic, challenge bots, or remember a CDN preference. Those are not used to personalize Toy recommendations, because the wiki does not have a logged-in shop.

Advertising

If the ad slot in the header loads, that vendor may drop cookies, mobile advertising IDs, or local storage to measure impressions. Your browser’s cookie controls and any industry opt-out the vendor documents are the way to limit that. Blocking the script also blocks the slot.

YouTube

Videos use a click-to-load player pointing at youtube-nocookie.com. Before the click, no YouTube cookie is required for the poster. After the click, YouTube may set its own cookies to serve the stream.

Language preference

Language is chosen by the URL (/fr/, /de/, /es/, /pt-br/) rather than a permanent cookie. English stays on the root path.

How to refuse

Use your browser settings to block third-party cookies, enable tracking protection, or disable JavaScript for the ad domain. The guides, calculators, and maps remain readable without ad cookies.
