How to Airgrab in Fling Things and People

Airgrab is the skill that separates people who ride Pallets from people who hunt Pallets. You grab a moving player (or recatch your board) without landing. Wrath’s line is accurate: if you can grab a mover and you can Pallet-fly, you are most of the way there.

The timing

Do not spam click from 40 studs. Track the target, enter 20-stud range (30 with Farther Reach), latch, and immediately manage distance so you do not yank yourself into the floor. Practice on a friend who is already flying, not on a standing AFK. Standing grabs teach you nothing about lead time.

After the latch

Once you own the body, you can throw them far, boost off them, or drag them toward the Poison Pit. If they own Escape Faster, you have about four seconds before they pop free instead of twelve. That pass is why airgrabbers buy reach and why victims buy escape — both sit on the Game Pass page.

Airclip and outdoing

Wrath’s chapters mention outdoing and airclip. Treat those as extra credit. The wiki-standard airgrab is: Pallet speed, camera lead, latch, keep altitude. If you drop both of you, you clicked late. If you latch and stall, you lengthened the line instead of shortening it. Reset, watch the middle of the video again, go back to the Plains.

Frequently asked questions

Does airgrab need Farther Reach?

It is easier with 30 studs, not required. Vanilla 20 still works on a slow Pallet.

Can I airgrab my own Pallet after I fall?

Yes, and you should. That recatch is a survive tool as much as a flex.

Why do I keep grabbing the Pallet instead of the rider?

The Pallet is a bigger collider. Aim at the torso, not the board.
