Fling Things and People
How to Get Good at Fling Things and People
Far throws are not a secret stat. They are stun, speed, and camera. Not_ROLF’s eight-minute tutorial is the public-server version of that lesson: ragdoll first, then run, then release.
Stun before you throw
A standing avatar fights the Grab Line. A ragdolled one travels. The video’s first drill is a floor drag that makes the little punch/stun sound, then a release at the end of the motion. If they pop out of ragdoll, you threw too early. Practice on a friend, not on a Farther Reach hunter, until the timing is boring.
A-train and reversal rocket
- A-train: build full sprint, keep the crosshair on the target, throw while you still have speed. Standing yeets lose to moving yeets.
- Reversal rocket: yank the victim back toward you as fast as the line allows, then dump them the other way. The snap is the damage.
- Do not mix both on the first try. Get A-train clean, then add the yank.
Pallet as an elevator
Spawn-kill loops end when you can leave the floor instantly. Not_ROLF’s lift: stand on a Pallet, shorten the Grab Line all the way down, then look up fast. Instant high ground. To drop, look down — you do not wait for the board to fall. That is the same camera physics as pallet flying, compressed into one flick. Combine it with airgrab once you can stay on the board.
Frequently asked questions
Does this work on mobile?
Stun and A-train do. Instant Pallet flicks are clumsier on a thumb. See mobile controls.
Is the shuriken clutch required?
No. Pallet clutch on survive is more reliable.
Why do they not ragdoll?
Escape Faster shortens the window. Stun again before the throw.
