Lincoln Plank Flying in Fling Things and People
Pallet is the default carpet. Lincoln Plank is the needle. Fandom strategy pages call it the fastest flying item because of its length — and the hardest to corner without eating ocean.
When the plank wins
Use it to cross the island, to leave a spawn-kill lobby, or to outrun a Blobman on the Plains. Do not use it as your first flyer. Learn pallet flying first: large surface, slow turns, forgiveable camera. The plank amplifies every mistake the Pallet hid.
How it flies
- Same Grab Line rule as Pallet: stand on it, shorten the tether, look up and down for lift.
- Length means speed. It also means a turn wants a slowdown first or you slide off the back.
- Side-to-side camera still dodges grabs, but the board is a skinny target. Hunters miss the plank and hit you.
- If you fall, recatch with airgrab timing. A Pallet is easier to recatch than a plank.
Loadout thinking
Keep Pallet favorited for fights and clutches. Keep a plank for travel if you own the Toy or found one on the map. Survive still wants a wide board under your feet in water, not a stick. Combo and cliff airgrabs on advanced airgrab are Pallet drills.

Is Lincoln Plank in the Toy Shop?
World boards exist; shop catalogs change. If you cannot find the name, any long unanchored plank behaves similarly.
Faster than UFO?
As a platform flyer, usually yes. UFO is a 500 Coin camera toy, not a better carpet. See tier list.
Should I main the plank?
Only after Pallet is boring. Speed without a turn is just a pretty wipeout.
